Having raised three children of her own, Christy deeply understands the challenges and struggles faced by both children and caregivers. Her child-centered approach emphasizes that children are capable, competent individuals deserving of respect and understanding. Christy is passionate about fostering self-reliance in children by encouraging self-acceptance and helping them become problem solvers who take responsibility for their own behaviors.

Christy utilizes the power of play to address a wide range of childhood challenges, including depression, grief and loss, social struggles, trauma, fear, anxiety, abuse, anger, ADHD, suppressed emotions, self-esteem issues, and the effects of divorce. Her therapeutic methodology is rooted in empathy, congruence, and unconditional positive regard. By fostering healthy relationships and promoting emotional well-being, she supports children on their journey toward greater mental health.

Christy believes in the transformative power of connection and personal advocacy. She strives to create a trusting environment where children feel comfortable sharing their most vulnerable thoughts and parents and caregivers feel supported throughout the process. Christy considers it an honor to be part of each child’s growth and healing journey.
