Jessica is a Counseling Intern currently completing her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Adams State University. She works with adolescents, individuals, and couples navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, burnout, trauma, ADHD, PMDD, and identity exploration. She is passionate about creating a safe, trauma-informed space where clients feel seen and understood, and she especially enjoys working with neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ clients. Jessica believes that lasting change begins with understanding the needs our current patterns are trying to meet.
Jessica’s style is collaborative, curious, and emotionally attuned, with a touch of humor whenever it fits. Her goal is to help clients leave sessions feeling better equipped to handle life’s challenges while extending compassion to themselves. She takes an integrative, emotion-focused approach, drawing from EFT/EFIT, ACT, Narrative Therapy, and attachment-based relational models, with parts work, mindfulness, and somatic awareness woven throughout. In practice, this means she works with clients to process difficult emotions, build resilience and self-esteem, develop greater self-awareness, and accept the parts of themselves that drive unhelpful patterns. This process opens the door to new, healthier ways of relating to themselves and others.
Outside the office, Jessica enjoys reading, video games, baking, playing D&D, beekeeping, exploring the outdoors when the sun is not trying to kill us all, and spending time with her family and dog. She loves slow mornings, sweet coffee, and finding joy in life’s simple moments.
