Litro De-Abba is a Marriage and Family Therapy Intern currently completing her clinical practice at Mesa Family Therapy under the supervision of Courtney Brown, LMFT.

Litro believes true healing begins when people feel deeply supported and understood. Her goal is to create a safe, compassionate space where clients can re-tell their story, learn to regulate emotions, and move toward the goals that matter most to them.

Litro works with individuals, couples, and older teens facing a wide range of challenges including relationship struggles, life transitions, stress, grief, anxiety, depression, cultural adjustment, and spiritual concerns. With a heart for serving immigrants, particularly those from African countries, Litro values the richness of diverse experiences and recognizes the unique challenges that can come with navigating multiple cultures. Having immigrated from Ghana to the United States in 2011 and relocated to Arizona in 2023, she brings both personal understanding and cultural sensitivity into her work with clients.
In addition to English, Litro is fluent in Twi and welcomes the opportunity to support Twi-speaking clients through virtual or in-person therapy sessions.

Litro’s therapeutic approach integrates Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She also welcomes the opportunity to incorporate Christian faith-based perspectives while respecting and honoring each client’s personal beliefs. Whether addressing day-to-day challenges, relational wounds, or questions surrounding faith and identity, Litro aims to meet each client where they are with compassion, authenticity, and practicality.

Litro views therapy as a collaborative journey where meaningful growth, resilience, and healing can emerge through connection and understanding. It would be her honor to walk alongside clients as they move toward healthier relationships and a more fulfilling life.

Outside of therapy, Litro enjoys candle-making, designing beaded jewelry, and relaxing with classic films from the 1980s. These creative outlets remind her of the importance of balance and self-expression—values she also brings into her work with clients. Litro is blessed to share her life with a loving husband, which has further deepened her appreciation for the joys and challenges of building strong, healthy relationships.
