Rian Higginbotham, LPC, is a compassionate counselor dedicated to supporting the growth, healing, and self-discovery of children, adolescents, and young adults through virtual therapy services across Arizona. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Grand Canyon University and her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling from Adams State University.
With a passion for helping young people uncover their authentic selves, Rian partners with clients to build self-awareness and develop effective strategies for managing emotional and behavioral challenges. She works with clients ages 5–30 navigating a wide range of concerns, including ADHD, anxiety, depression, autism, anger management, behavioral issues, and difficulties with emotion regulation. She also supports clients facing family conflict, identity and belonging concerns, life transitions, relationship challenges, school-related stress, and self-esteem issues.
Rian’s approach is warm, collaborative, and strength-based. She works closely with clients and their families to identify triggers, build on existing strengths, and foster resilience for future challenges. Her work integrates evidence-based practices such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, and play-focused interventions, all tailored to meet each client’s developmental and emotional needs.
Known for creating a safe, supportive, and engaging virtual environment, Rian values collaboration not only with clients and their families but also with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive, well-rounded care. Her goal is to promote emotional growth, resilience, and overall well-being in every individual she serves.
Rian is currently accepting new clients for virtual sessions only and serves clients throughout Arizona.
Outside of her professional work, Rian enjoys reading, hiking, exercising, and spending quality time with family and friends.
